Funding for the Young Ambassadors
The Young Ambassadors receive funding from various sources.  The largest portion is raised through school fund raising activities and from friends and relatives of participants.  They have also received funding from BET's Rap-It-Up HIV/AIDS campaign and they sponsor a yearly brunch at B. Smith's Restaurant at Union Station.  The Young Ambassadors' annual trip to New York, where they visit the historic Apollo Theatre, is a favorite for students and adults.  Additional funding comes from a myriad of businesses and grants.
